Make these paper crafts with the children.
Cut out the outline of any tree (I have 8 inches in height). Cut the trunk separately. Cut strips of paper 4Х1 inch. Fold as shown in the photo. Cut out  crown parts of the any shape.

Glue the folded strip to the crown, except for the bottom.  Glue the large crown of the tree. Glue the trunk.
Glue all the pieces, overlapping each.

The photo shows that the crown parts does not touch the tree.
