Today’s recipe: Baked tomatoes with goat cheese are inspired by the thyme, without which this dish becomes meaningless.

 

Some herbs in the heat only increase its taste and flavor that is especially true of thyme. In order for these flavors and aromas filled the entire dish, you should stretch your hard thyme leaves with coarse sea salt in a mortar.

Ingredients:

4 ripe tomatoes

4 thyme sprigs

200 g soft goat cheese

6 garlic cloves

Sea salt and fresh milled black pepper

Olive oil

 

 Preparation:

Cut tomatoes in half and put in a deep baking dish cut side up. Add salt and pepper, spread garlic cloves between tomatoes. Sprayed tomatoes with olive oil to lightly coat the tomatoes and garlic, and place in the oven at 200 C (400 F).

Bake for 30 minutes until garlic is soft inside. Then take out the baking dish, remove the garlic and again put the dish with tomatoes in the oven.

Put baked garlic into a mortar, added thereto thyme leaves and sea salt. It is rubbed.

The resulting paste was spread on each baked tomato. Cut goat cheese into slices and placed on top of the tomato. Bake until the cheese starts to melt.
