Fried cabbage with bread crumbs
I cannot throw away old bread. I dry it and then rub on a grater and make bread crumbs. You can add different dried herbs and spices.
I especially like the breaded in bread crumbs young vegetables and then fry in oil in a frying pan. It is side dish to meat, and if sprinkled with pieces of fried bacon – a separate dish.
Preparation time: 40 minutes.
The recipe is well suited for: quick dinner.
1 head cabbage (small);
5-6 tbsp bread crumbs.
0.5 tbsp ground cumin;
0.5 tsp ground coriander;
Vegetable oil for frying;
Salt, ground black pepper.
Cut a head cabbage into circles 1/2 inches thick.
Boil the cabbage in boiling salted water for 2-3 minutes.
Prepare two wide bowls. Mix the egg with a pinch of salt. In the other bowl mix the bread crumbs with spices and a little salt and pepper.
Omit the dried cabbage in egg, and then omit it in bread crumbs.
Fry cabbage in vegetable oil until golden brown on both sides.
