How to Make a Swiss Roll with jam
A Swiss roll is perfect for any occasion, a birthday, Christmas or just for fun. It also takes hardly any time at all. But above all it is extremely easy to make and is great for people who are just beginning to cook.
Preparation time: 35 minutes.
The recipe is well suited for: dessert.
1 cup sugar
1 cup yogurt
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 1/2 cups flour
Preheat oven at 200ºC/400ºF.
Whisk the eggs with the sugar and vanilla. Add the yogurt, stir it previously baking powder. Then add the flour. The dough should be liquid.
Lay a baking paper and pour the dough. Spread it all over the baking sheet, tilting the baking sheet.
Place the baking sheet in the oven, and bake in the middle of 10-12 minutes.
While cooking place a piece of greaseproof paper on a cooling tray and sprinkle with sugar.
When the sponge is cooked remove from oven, tip upside down on sugared paper and carefully remove paper from sponge.
Cut off any hard crusty edges. Spread with jam (andor) cream and roll.
Leave in paper for a few minutes before serving on a plate.
