Halloween is the mystical holiday. Although once Halloween was a major religious holiday, today it is mainly associated with the horror stories, costumes and of course, pumpkins.
Actually, pumpkins and Halloween is not always go in pairs. The appearance of a pumpkin in a set of Halloween holiday attributes often associated with the Irish legend of Jack Miser, who after the death was kicked out of heaven and of hell. And Jack wanders between worlds alone. The only thing that illuminates his path – a small piece of coal, which because of compassion (!) gave him the Devil, and Jack put it in a turnips. It is believed that the Jack O’ Lantern helps keep to the path and scare away evil spirits. First Jack O’ Lantern was cut out of turnips, potatoes or beets, but when the Irish came to the New World, for these purposes have been used pumpkin that looked much more spectacular turnip.
We also decided not to give up the practice. So today we’ll show you how out of plain paper and jars make a nice Jack O’ Lantern, which, in contrast to this pumpkin not go bad over time and, in addition, can serve as the perfect Halloween gift.
