You will need:

Rug
Latex paint
insulating tape
Polyethylene

Instructions:

Step 1: Draw the border of pattern using a pencil.

Step 2: Draw a picture boundary with insulating tape. The result will be zigzag band. Paint will be the bands that are a little broader. Those that already – will remain untouched.

Step 3: To not get paint on the white stripes, glue polyethylene  on top of narrow bands.

Step 4: Using a brush, apply paint between the blue stripes. You can use multiple colors.

The  zig zag rug is ready!
